Applications in prescribed form are invited from Indian citizens who fulfil the following essential qualifications and other eligibility conditions as on 1.5.2008 for preparation of a panel for appointment to the post of Senior Personal Assistant in the provisional and ad-hoc scale of pay of Rs.6500 - 200 - 10500/- plus usual allowances as admissible under the Rules:-

Qualification: (i) Degree of a recognized University. (ii) Proficiency in Shorthand (English) with a speed of 110 w.p.m. (iii) Knowledge of Computer Operation with typing speed of 40 w.p.m on computer.
Age Requirement : Candidates should be below 28 years. Usual relaxation in age will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC candidates and ex-servicemen as per Government Rules.

The candidates who fulfil the prescribed qualifications and eligibility conditions should submit the application in the prescribed form duly filled in at the Reception Counter of the Supreme Court of India on any working Monday to Friday between 10.30 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. and 2.00 P.M. to 4.00 P.M. till 10.6.2008. Applications can also be sent by Registered AD post addressed to Registrar, Supreme Court of India, Tilak Marg, New Delhi-110001 in the envelope provided with the application form so as to reach latest by 5 P.M. on 10.6.2008. Application must be on the form obtained from the Supreme Court. Qualification:  a) 10th Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board / University b) Candidate should have adequate working knowledge of computer.
Mode of Selection : Selection shall be made on the basis of Written Test examination comprising of one paper in English language (Essay, Grammar and translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa). The candidates, who will be declared qualified in English language paper will be called to appear
for typing test @ 30 w.p.m. in English. The short listed candidate would also undergo an interview (The candidates will have to arrange their own Type Writers for taking the test)
